Rasmus Prieß

Rasmus Priess is a Senior Researcher in the Sustainable Products & Material Flows Division at Oeko-Institut. In his work he focuses on product and corporate sustainability, and in particular the measurement, materiality and comparability of product and corporate sustainability based on recognised and emerging standards.

Current projects include support to different companies in understanding and implementing Product Environmental Footprinting and the development of a product sustainability assessment and management tool for the ICT industry.

Rasmus Priess has been instrumental in developing product carbon footprint standards, such as GHG Protocol Product and Value Chain standards and ISO 14067. Before joining Oeko-Institut he co-founded the Think-Do-Tank THEMA1 (www.thema1.de), where he built and maintained several cross-industry and cross-stakeholder initiatives and platforms on product and value chain sustainability.

Rasmus Priess holds a degree in industrial engineering from Technical University Berlin.
