Dr. MacNair’s practice focuses on helping clients value environmental and natural resource services in their decision making using quanitative economic and business tools. He helps clients identify and manage business sustainability using multi-criteria decision analysis to evaluate and prioritize financial, human-health, environmental, and corporate reputation risk. He develops probabilistic financial models to quanity the risks and uncertainties of alternative strategies.

Dr. MacNair has extensive experience in natural resource economics. He has developed comprehensive cost-benefit analyses about recreational benefits such as fishing, hiking, and hunting and the economic health effects of air pollution. His research has been published in Land Economics, Forest Economics, and Marine Resource Economics. Prior to specializing in environmental economics, Dr. MacNair was Associate Director, Economic Research for the NASDAQ over-the-counter stock market.
